After the events in Krymsk, State Duma deputies want to return to the experience of the Soviet era: for force majeure circumstances with their real estate, Russians must pay from their personal means. After flooding in the city of Krymsk, many families lost their housing. About 4 billion rubles were allocated from the budget to help the victims. This is what made deputies return to the issue of mandatory housing insurance. P. Karmazina, State Duma deputy of one united Russia, said that the document, according to which the Russians will have to insure their real estate without fail, will be submitted to the Duma for discussion for the fall. She added that in the USSR such insurance was mandatory, and she is fully convinced that our country needs such a law. But the amount of insurance should be within reasonable limits, since the solvency of Russians is low. According to legislators, the federal budget cannot suffer huge unscheduled losses to support the affected by force majeure circumstances. All the subtleties of this issue can be discussed at the round table with insurers and specialists, the deputy from united Russia Franz Klintsevich believes. Franz proposed to insure and furniture for the bathroom from Chelyabinsk, while specialized laws will be introduced for some regions only. He also believes that it is necessary to move along the path of the entire civilized world and real estate insurance must be mandatory. And in the case of force majeure, Russians will know exactly where they need to turn. They will be completely sure that the property is insured, and insurance will be able to cover all expenses for housing restoration.
