It is known how our industrial enterprises differ from capitalist. In capital countries, enterprises are built in the backyards of cities and are intended for the operation of workers. In our country, enterprises are given excellent plots for construction; Our factories and factories serve as the enrichment of the Soviet people, serve as the basis for the transition to a communist society.
I wanted to dwell on two questions. The first question is the creation of a powerful Soviet school of designing industrial enterprises. The efforts of this school are aimed not only to use in industry all the achievements of advanced technology and science, but also to create excellent conditions for creative work for workers.
We strive to implement and implement Stalin’s concern for a person. Stalin’s concern for a person is not only an idea to us – this is our daily practice.
Of course, capitalist countries cannot do our scope. In fact, nowhere in the world there is no such wide solution to the tasks set for architects, as in our country, the exhibition organized to our meeting is evidenced. But there are still a lot of works where I feel, I would say, creative indecision, the struggle of the old with the new, and not the harmonious combination of the beautiful traditions of the past with the greatest achievements of engineering science and the architectural art of our Stalin era.
There are examples that show how much the issues of this harmonic combination have not yet been resolved. So, at one factory, on the one hand, the arches-shells are used-modern designs, and on the other hand, the architectural forms of the Renaissance, and even the period of “Mannerism”. This can not be combined harmoniously.
A positive example of a desire to keep in the leg with the huge achievements of our construction equipment, our constructive creative thought, in my opinion, is the project of a hydroelectric power station on the Volga, developed.
